EFMP & Me is an online tool provided by the Department of Defense Office of Special Needs Exceptional Family Member Program and Military OneSource, for military families who have family members with special needs. With EFMP & Me, you get personalized access to resources and information on support services specific to your current need. Learn how to enroll in EFMP, prepare for a PCS or deployment, manage changes in education or medical needs, and adjust to new life situations. EFMP & Me is here to make life less stressful for your family.
Anyone looking for resources and information in support of a family member with special needs can use EFMP & Me. The checklists were developed based on research-identified user needs and preferences.
On the homepage, simply select your relationship and then tap "Get Started." Then, select the types of information you need, such as medical, education, EFMP enrollment, PCS, child care, accessibility, housing, etc.
Checklists are then created based on the areas you selected. The checklists include important to-dos, tips and resources. You'll have the option to save your checklists or download them as PDFs.
Through your Military OneSource account, you can save your EFMP & Me checklists and other information to view later. If you do not have a Military OneSource account, you can easily create one.
Based on your inputs, checklists are created with tasks in categories specific to your circumstances and needs. You can customize the items within your checklists. These checklists will help you navigate family life, find military resources and get connected to helpful support services.
EFMP & Me is designed to provide you with information and refer you to additional resources customized to your various needs and life stages – whether you’re getting ready to PCS or deploy, searching for available resources, or navigating the IEP process.
